How to Set Up a New Trusted Device for Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) with CCF Bank

At CCF Bank, we prioritize your security. Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) provides an extra layer of protection to ensure that only you can access your accounts. If you're setting up a new trusted device for 2FA, follow these simple steps to ensure a smooth and secure process.

Step 1: Log In to Your CCF Bank Account

  1. Visit the CCF Bank website or open the CCF Bank mobile app.

  2. Enter your username and password as usual.

  3. If prompted, complete the existing 2FA verification on your current device.

Step 2: Navigate to Security Settings

  1. Once logged in, go to the Settings or Security section of your account.

  2. Look for an option labeled Manage Trusted Devices or Two-Factor Authentication.

Step 3: Add a New Trusted Device

  1. Select Add New Device or Register a Device.

  2. Enter the required details about your new device, such as the device name and type.

  3. Choose your preferred authentication method (e.g., SMS code, authenticator app, or email confirmation).

Step 4: Verify the New Device

  1. Depending on your chosen authentication method, you will receive a verification code via SMS, email, or your authenticator app.

  2. Enter the verification code in the provided field to confirm your new device.

Step 5: Set as a Trusted Device

  1. Once the device is verified, you will see an option to Mark as Trusted.

  2. Enable this option to prevent frequent verification prompts when logging in from this device.

Step 6: Remove Old or Unused Devices (Optional)

  1. In the Manage Trusted Devices section, review your list of registered devices.

  2. If you see old or unused devices, select Remove or Revoke Access to enhance security.

Troubleshooting

  • Didn’t receive a verification code? Check your spam folder (for email) or ensure your phone has a strong signal (for SMS codes).

  • Authenticator app not working? Ensure the date and time settings on your phone are correct, as they can affect code generation.

  • Lost access to your previous trusted device? Contact CCF Bank customer support for identity verification and assistance.
