Vacation & Time Off - Your Guide to Rest and Recharge

Edited

At Global, we believe that maintaining a healthy work-life balance is essential for fostering creativity and enhancing performance. This document outlines the procedures for managing your vacation, sick days, and other types of leave.

Vacation Policy

Understanding your vacation entitlements is crucial for effective planning. Here are the details:

  • Full-time employees: 20 days per year

  • After 5 years of service: 25 days per year

  • Part-time employees: Pro-rated based on hours worked

Unused vacation days can be carried over for one year, with a maximum carryover of 10 days.

Requesting Time Off

To request time off, please follow these steps:

  1. Submit your request via the Time Off Tracker in the HR Portal at least 2 weeks in advance.

  2. Your manager will review and either approve or decline the request within 3 business days.

Public Holidays

Global observes all federal and local public holidays. There is no need to submit a request for these days, as they will be automatically added to your calendar.

Unpaid Leave

Employees may take unpaid leave with manager approval. To apply for unpaid personal leave, please use the HR Portal. The HR department will confirm your eligibility and any necessary documentation requirements.

Sick Days

Employees are entitled to 10 paid sick days per year. If you are absent for more than 3 consecutive days, a doctor's note may be required.
