Dear Valued Members – One of our suppliers has announced a product recall as described below. Our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. 

Recall Date: January 3, 2020

Product Recall: Maple Walnut Probiotic Granola (8 oz), and Chocolate Sea Salt Probiotic Granola (8 oz)

Reason for Recall: Purely Elizabeth is issuing a voluntary recall due to a mislabeling error that has resulted in an undeclared allergen (walnuts) being present in their Chocolate Sea Salt Probiotic Granola.

According to Purely Elizabeth, briefly during production, pouches of Chocolate Sea Salt Probiotic Granola were used to package Maple Walnut Probiotic Granola.  Therefore, you may have received a package that was labelled Chocolate Sea Salt Probiotic Granola, when it actually contained Maple Walnut Probiotic Granola that included an undeclared allergen (walnuts). Preventive measures have been put in-place at the manufacturer level to prevent future issues of this nature.

Injuries Reported: No injuries or illness have been reported.

What to do with Recalled Product: Consumers with a nut allergy should not consume the Product and immediately destroy the Product. If you do not have an allergy, but someone who may have a nut allergy has access to the Product, we suggest you do the same.
