Baggage Allowance & Airline Policies

Baggage limits are set by the operating airline, not by Traveluxe, and vary by route and fare class. Below are the general guidelines for the carriers we book most often.

Carry-on

Most economy fares include one carry-on bag (max 22 x 14 x 9 in / 56 x 36 x 23 cm) plus one personal item. Some basic economy fares allow a personal item only.

Checked bags

  • Economy: Often 1 checked bag up to 50 lb (23 kg) on long-haul; short-haul may charge per bag.

  • Premium/Business: Typically 2 checked bags up to 70 lb (32 kg) each.

Finding your specific allowance

Your exact allowance is printed on your e-ticket and confirmation. If you tell us your booking reference, we can confirm the allowance for your specific flights.

Extra or oversized baggage

Additional and oversized items (sports equipment, instruments) usually require pre-purchase and may have separate fees. Contact us and we'll arrange it in advance to save you money at the airport.
