Baggage Policy

Baggage allowances are determined by your airline and booking class. Most economy fares include one checked bag (23 kg / 50 lbs) and one personal item, while business class typically includes two checked bags. It is important to verify your specific baggage allowance with your booking confirmation, as allowances can vary by airline, route, and fare type.

Standard checked baggage is typically included at 23 kg (50 lbs) per bag for economy passengers, with most airlines allowing up to 2 bags for long-haul flights. Each bag must not exceed 158 cm (62 inches) in total dimensions (length + width + height). Oversized or overweight bags incur additional fees, usually starting at $50-150 per bag depending on the excess weight or dimensions.

One piece of carry-on luggage (maximum 22 x 14 x 9 inches / 56 x 45 x 25 cm) plus one personal item (purse, laptop bag, or small backpack) are typically permitted at no charge. Carry-on bags must fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. Airlines strictly enforce size restrictions at the gate, so it is best to measure your bags before travel.

If you need to bring additional luggage beyond your standard allowance, you can purchase extra baggage online, at the airport, or through our office. Prepaid baggage is usually cheaper than purchasing at the airport. An additional checked bag typically costs $50-100 for domestic flights and $100-200 for international flights. Special items like sports equipment may be subject to different policies.

Certain items are prohibited in checked or carry-on baggage for safety reasons. These include flammable materials, sharp objects, electronic items with large batteries, and certain sporting equipment. Liquids and gels in carry-on bags are limited to 3.4 oz (100 ml) containers, and all containers must fit in a single quart-sized clear bag. Always check with your airline for a complete list of prohibited items.

Musical instruments and sports equipment (skis, surfboards, bicycles) may be transported but often require special handling and fees. Instruments that fit in a standard carry-on or checked bag may be treated as regular baggage, while larger items typically require advance notice and additional fees ($50-300).
