How should I thaw my frozen meat or seafood?

Edited

Our most recommended thawing approach is to place the sealed piece of frozen meat or seafood on a plate, and allow it to thaw in the fridge overnight. If you're in a time-pinch, you can thaw quickly by submerging the sealed piece of meat or seafood into a bowl of cold water, and changing the water every 30 minutes until completely thawed (typically an hour per each pound you are attempting to thaw).

Thawing times differ based on weight or cut of product. You can find out specific instructions for each cut of meat by viewing the information listed on the product packaging.
